Правління Європейської ліги регбі підтримує прямий контакт з українською регбі-лігою через свого президента Артура Мартиросяна-молодшого, пропонуючи беззастережну підтримку нації після невиправданих дій Росії щодо вторгнення в суверенну державу.

У заяві правління зазначається: «Ми стоїмо на повну підтримку мужнього народу України та його опору цьому неспровокованому нападу. Вони борються за набір цінностей і принципів, які, по суті, є частиною наших основних переконань у Лізі регбі; поваги, братерства/сестринства та спільної справи.

Багато членів Федерації регбі України борються за свою країну, як і на полі Ліги Регбі, і ми захоплюємося їх хоробрістю та поважаємо їхню справу, і чим швидше вони зможуть повернутися на поле Ліги Регбі, тим краще наші світ буде.

Наші друзі в Україні в цей час постійно в наших думках».

The board of European Rugby League is keeping in direct contact with Ukraine Rugby League, through their president Artur Martyrosian Jr, offering their unreserved support to the nation after the unjustifiable actions of Russia in invading the sovereign state.

In a statement the board noted, “We stand full square behind the courageous people of Ukraine and their resistance to this unprovoked attack. They are fighting for a set of values and principles that in essence are part of our core beliefs in Rugby League; respect, brotherhood / sisterhood and common cause.

Many members of the Ukraine Federation of Rugby League are fighting for their country, as they have done on the Rugby League field, and we admire their bravery and respect their cause and the sooner they are able to return to the Rugby League field the better our world will be.

Our friends in Ukraine are constantly in our thoughts at this time.”
